Life Deep Salvation

If the salvation of God has not sunk deep into your life, how can you be sure that you have it? How can you be certain that you have eternal life? There seem to be many Christians who just want to play at Christianity, just dabble in it like a child wades in shallow water. The mother of Pastor Jim Gray, a mentor of mine told him shortly after he received Christ: Don*t get carried away with this Christianity thing. She had apparently seen the lives of others changed by Jesus Christ before her son got saved. I am glad he got carried away with it and taught me so very much. If we don*t get carried away with it in this life, how can we be sure we will be carried to Heaven? If God is powerful enough to take us to Heaven, is He not powerful enough to change our lives?

Romans 6:4: Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Ephesians 4:22: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Romans 8:11: But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

John 10:10: The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Romans 6:16: Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? 17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. 18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Have you become a servant of righteousness? Trust Him to change your life AND your eternity. The only things I regret about my salvation are the things in my life that I did not permit Him to change.
